XL Reports – Event Report Lists
|
Various events have to be reported to HMRC after the end of each
tax year. These lists show the schemes for which each event has occurred in the
tax year.
Full details of the events to be reported can be found in RPSM –
Scheme Administrator Pages.
The lists are all filtered to exclude archived members unless
otherwise stated.
Schemes With More than 10 Members
A list of all schemes with 11 or more members.
Reaching Age 75
A list of all members who have reached age 75 in the tax year,
showing their share of the fund value at that date (looking 7 days before and 7
days after). If the fund has not been split at that date then no fund value
will appear but a fund split should be stored at that date to calculate the
final BCE at age 75.
Members aged 75 plus
A list of all members who were aged 75 or more on the last day of
the tax year. This does not address a specific event that needs to be reported
but it provides a useful list for checking that the database is correct.
BCEs with Protection
A list of all BCEs that have taken place in the tax year, showing
the LTA used and whether the member has protection. If there is no transitional
record for the member or the protection fields have not been completed then
‘?’ is shown for ‘Protection’ because Omni does not
know whether the data has been omitted. If the member has enhanced protection
and primary protection then ‘Enhanced’ is shown.
‘Primary’ is only shown if the member has primary but not enhanced
protection.
The ‘LTA used so far’ column indicates whether the
member’s BCEs need to be reported. It calculates the total percentage of
the LTA used, up to the date of (and including) each BCE. If this running total
exceeds 100% then the percentage is shown in the column. If the percentage has
not reached 100% then nothing is shown (to make it easy to spot the BCEs that
need reporting). This running total looks at all previous tax years (not just
the latest tax year) – a BCE in the current tax year could account for only
20% of the LTA but if the BCEs in previous tax years accounted for 90% then it
would be highlighted.
BCEs with Lump Sums > 25%
A list of all lump sum BCEs where the lump sum exceeds 25% of the
total amount crystallised on that date. The total amount includes the lump sum,
any annuity and any drawdown fund.
All BCEs
A full list of all BCEs can be produced for any period.
Unauthorised Payments
A list of all bank transactions during the tax year where the
description is ‘Unauthorised Payment’.
QROPS
A list of transfer payments that have been made to an overseas
scheme (QROPS) in the tax year, showing the information needed for the Event
Report.
