PAYE
– Manual Payments and Adjustments
|
The ‘Manual
Payments’ button on the ‘Members, Payroll’ screen displays
another screen that allows you to make a manual pension payment (either adding
to an existing payment for the latest month or a one-off payment for an
individual member).
Tax Year
A
new tax year record must have been created to process any months in a new tax
year. Manual payments can only be processed for the latest tax year stored and
so the new tax year should not be set up until all payments have been processed
for the previous tax year.
Pay Day - Tax Months
Manual
payments can be made for the latest tax month that has been saved, or any
subsequent tax month. If a previous month has to be amended, the payroll data
for that member for subsequent months has to be deleted first. The Pay Day
field will default to today’s date or the Pay Day (stored in the
Member’s Pension screen) for the current calendar month.
Omni will check that
any date entered is appropriate and will not allow you to proceed with an
inappropriate rate.
Gross Pay and Tax
The
tax is calculated when the gross amount is entered.
Excel
The
data and results can be exported to Excel.
Payslip
Once
the gross amount is entered a Payslip can be sent to Word.
Save
Results
After
the payslip has been produced the ‘Save’ button is enabled. This
saves the PAYE records but not the bank transactions.
Creating
Bank Transactions
While
the manual payment is being processed, it creates the bank transactions for the
gross pay or the net pay and tax, as appropriate.
