Global Address Book
|
The shortcut to the Global Address
Book is ‘Ctrl A’.
The ‘Abbreviation’ field is
used to identify scheme advisers in various reports where it would not be
convenient to use the full name. The abbreviation can amended at anytime (but
this will apply to all users and so it is best done by the master user).
Earlier versions of Omni also stored
scheme related addresses in the Global Address Book – such addresses are
now stored in the Scheme Address Book.
Practitioner
If the firm acts as an HMRC Practitioner
then the ‘Group’ field should be set to ‘Practitioner’.
Once this has been done, an extra panel will appear with boxes for the
HMRC’s ID number and their Address Number.
The
Practitioner ID is a unique number given to every pre-registered Practitioner
and will always be 8 numerical
characters. If the number you input does not fit this format, a warning
will be displayed.
