Omni Diary

By default, the diary shows a list of
items for the current user. This view can be changed using the one or more of
the filter options beneath the grid.
The lists can be sorted by clicking on the
column headings. A second click on the header will change the order from
ascending to descending or vice versa.
A new diary item can be created using the New button, which will display a new
window where all the information can be stored.
Items can be amended by selecting the item
from the grid and using the Amend
button or by double clicking on the item. This screen also show the ‘Details’ field which is not
displayed in the grid.
To mark an item as complete, enter the
amend screen and tick the Completed
box. This will then display two extra fields for the date completed and the
user who completed the task. These default to the current date and user but can
be amended manually.
The current diary view (as displayed in
the grid) can be sent to Excel using the Send
To Excel button.
For those companies who have the OmniWork package, the diary will
automatically move items which are due on the current day (or are overdue on
the current day) to the Work List in OmniWork. They will be marked as
‘Assigned’ in the diary once they have been moved to OmniWork. An
email is sent to the person who diaried the item, telling them that the item
has been added to their worklog. An email is also sent to the master user with
a list of all items that have been moved from the diary to the Worklog. The
Deadline for each task is also calculated.
