Archiving Members
|
If a member record is created in error or a
member no longer has any interest in the scheme, the member record can be
archived, using 'Members, Archive'.
Clicking the 'Archive' button sets the 'Archived'
flag to 'True'. The process can
be reversed using the 'Un-archive' button.
Once a member is archived, that member will not
be shown on the Member screens (Member Details, Earnings, Pensions, Other
Schemes etc) and will not be included in the Fund Split report.
You cannot archive a member if there are funds
still allocated to that member. If a member has transferred out (or an annuity
has been bought) you need to run the fund split at a date after the transfer.
The program asks you to confirm that the member has transferred out. Once that
fund split is saved, the latest fund split records are stored without the transferring
member and the member record can then be archived.
The total numbers of members of each status is
displayed on the Member screen. It shows the archived members separately. The
totals are updated when a member record is saved - usually when a different
member is selected or the screen is closed - the data is not saved beforehand.
